These old jade and Peruvian opal bead necklaces look so great layered together that I am offering them as a pair. The necklace with the large beads at the bottom center has a copper S clasp and is 23 inches long. The necklace with uniform size beads has a white bronze S clasp. It is 22 inches long. They layer together nicely. The old jade beads are calcified and measure 8 mm. The Peruvian green opal beads are 4 mm. Both necklaces have been recently restrung with new clasps. They date from the 1960s or earlier.
Please note that Peruvian Opal is the national stone of Peru and it is relatively rare and can only be found in the Andes mountains. Its internal crystalline composition is random, meaning this gemstone lacks the color play or fire of a usual opal but is has mysterious "cat's eye" effect.
PRICE for the pair is $220.00; Sold separately they are $110.00 each
