An archaistic jade double dragon disk of carved nephrite jade. Dates from about the 1800s resembling an earlier style. Archaistic jade carvings were made to honor the artistry of previous times. They are not reproductions since each artisan leaves his own style and mark rather than just copying an earlier piece. This piece shows double dragons encircling an smaller central disk with its own dragon guardians. Similar pieces may have been used as astronomical tools in ancient times. This disk measures 4.25 inches in diameter and weighs 139.5 grams. The colors range from light beige to gray.
