A very beautiful antique carved white nephrite jade pendant from the Qing Dynasty, circa 1800s. This lovely pendant has been strung with a cord for use as a pocket fondling piece but with a longer cord it can easily be worn as a pendant. This is an ear of corn carved with finely incised lines representing the leaves of a corn cob with well defined corn kernels. Clinging to the corn is a stylized bat, the symbol of good fortune in Chinese culture. It measures approximately 3 inches long and 1.25 inches wide at the widest point.
