A very interesting Chinese hardstone archer's ring. This type of ring was originally used in antiquity to protect the archer's fingers when shooting a bow, and was later adopted as a mark of honor for scholars. Scholar's rings were usually worn on the thumb. This ring is a US size 13.5. It can certainly be worn as a ring, but today people also like to wear them as a pendant when placed on a cord necklace. The ring measures approximately 1.25 inches high. It has a very nice polish and interesting texture.
