A wonderful little antique work of art that you can wear. This is a Hetian white nephrite jade ring carved with bats, symbols of good fortune. It is a size 14 to fit a large finger but it can also be worn as a pendant - just slip it on a cord - or display it as a work of art. The jade has a beautiful fatty luster and silky smooth texture with small areas of russet. Dates from the Qing Dynasty, probably 18th century. it measures 17 mm wide and weighs 31.3 grams. I have been collecting and selling jade for many years. This is part of my collection that was verbally authenticated by the San Francisco Asian Art Museum in 1974.
