An antique nephrite jade archer's or scholar's ring dating from the Qing Dynasty 1800s or earlier. These were originally worn by archers to protect the finger when using a bow. Later, they became a honorific for scholars and were usually worn on the thumb. This one is a medium celadon color with carving all around. It measures 25 mm wide and weighs 41.5 grams. It is a US size 12 but it makes a wonderful pendant when strung on a thick cord. A great way to be stylish while wearing a piece of history. Fine condition with no chips or cracks.
