An antique Chinese court necklace consisting of an enameled silver lock pendant (to lock in good fortune), combined with enamel beads and rare fluted transparent cobalt blue 7 mm Peking glass beads dating from the 1800s. The necklace has recently been restrung with a new silver dragon/serpent S clasp for ease of use. The lock pendant is reversible with turquoise enamel on one side and cobalt blue enamel on the other. Either side can be worn to the front for a different look. The pendant measures approximately 2.50 by 1.75 inches. The Peking glass beads are fluted melon beads which are quite rare. The necklace measures 32 inches long including the pendant.
