Morganite Diamond Ring, Natural Untreated, 18K Yellow Gold
A natural morganite and diamond ring in an 18K yellow gold setting. This is a gorgeous cushion cut completely natural and untreated morganite gemstone measuring approximately 1/2 inch square. It is surrounded by approximately 1.0 carats of high quality white diamonds G-H in color VS to SI clarity. More accurate assessments of gem size and weight cannot be made without removing the stones from the setting. US size 5; can make a beautiful pinky ring or engagement ring. The color of this morganite gem is unique showing the icy rose blush typical of untreated morganite gems. Morganite is a member of the beryl family and cousin to emerald and aquamarine. It has a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale making it a very durable choice for every day wear. Morganite was discovered about 1900 by Tiffany and named after the financier J.P. Morgan who was an avid gem collector.
