Jade Pendant Necklace, Hetian Nephrite, Qing Dynasty
A Hetian nephrite jade pendant necklace from the late Qing Dynasty, 1800s. This unusual piece may have been a sword fitting. Now it has new life as a well carved pendant which hangs from a custom made adjustable length cord. The color is pale celadon green with small russet areas. It has a beautiful fatty luster and silky feel typical of Hetian nephrite. The jade measures approximately 2.5 inches long, 12.5 inches wide and weighs 51 grams. A unisex piece for men or women.
